Create Minimalist Book Global Blocks in Breakdance

Building on the “Other Books Max” global block you previously designed, you’ll learn to duplicate and simplify it for quick, targeted layouts. These variations—featuring just a cover and title, or even just a cover—will let you adapt your site’s design to different contexts, enhance SEO, and engage your readers without unnecessary clutter.
Build the Other Books Min Global Block
While we are in the Global Blocks space lets build two more than I know we are going to need later on
- Other Books Min (for minimum displays) and
- Other Books Cover Only
Other Books Min
The Other Books Min Global Block is just the Book cover and title.
- From the WordPress Admin Dashboard go to Breakdance > Global Blocks
- Duplicate the Other Books Max Global Block
- Rename the copied block to Other Books Min
- Edit this new Global Block with Breakdance
- Remove the button and excerpt elements
- Click save
- Exit to WordPress
Other Books Cover Only
As you probably guessed from the title this global block is the cover only
- Duplicate the Other Books Min Global Block
- Rename the copied block to Other Books Cover Only
- Edit this new Global Block with Breakdance
- Remove the book title heading element to leave only the Div, the wrapper, and the Book Cover image element
- Click Save
- Exit to wordpress
